 Subject: speedometer, odometer & ABS

The speedometer and odometer stopped working on my '99 2wd Dak today and the idiot lights for the ABS and Brakes are lit up. I don't have any check engine light or anything like that.
I checked all the fuses and crawled underneath to see if there was anything broken, but everything visually checked out.
Anyone have any ideas? The FSM wasn't any help.

Very, very, very, very common. It's the rear wheel speed/ABS sensor on the rear differental. Very easy to replace. Hit any Dodge/Dak/Durango/Ram forum. There are tons of posts for the same.

All gauges not working, ABS/Airbag light on? Odometer flashing?
Just had that on my '98. Undo the neg battery post(to be safe) Unscrew the wiring harness connector under the dash just to the left of the steering column behind the hood release. 1 bolt in the middle of a light grey plastic cover. Reseat the connector and screw it back in. Reconnect battery.
Fixed my problem and best of all it's free. Hope it works.
