I just bought a new club cab dakota and was shopping for a new cap when I came across a 2 yr old one.
The truck colour is patriot blue and the cap that I found is driftwood colour.
How do you think that would look? A patriot blue truck with a driftwood cap.

Hmmm, I prefer the cap to match the paint on the truck. Did you ever see a truck with a different colored topper on it? Looks awful. A cap might not be so bad though if your Dakota is two-toned and the cap matches the second color on your truck. If not...yuck.

I may have to paint it. I haven't bought it yet but if I do it would cost me another $300-$400 CDN to have the cap painted. Ouch!

why ask us what your truck should look like? it is your truck, it should look like what you want it to, not what some anonymous dude on the net says it should. Do your own thing and just maybe you might be the trendsetter
