Subject: aftermarket power windows IP: Logged
Message: i have an 02 sxt which comes with no power windows or door locks. i can live without power locks as its a reg cab, but i hate having to reach over to roll down my passenger window. what's the cheapest way i can get power windows put in? should i just take it to the dealer or are there other ways i could do it? thanks for any help

Message: The dealership will charge you out the a$$ to have that done. Do a search on the web - The make universal power window kits you can install. I didnt have time so I had a local shop put mine in - I think it cost me around $200.

I bought a '02 SXT this summer and just finished putting in Electric Life power windows. They are not a universal type, but made specifically for the truck. I've seen a couple of posts that made me leary of the universal types. Pretty easy to install and work great. Got them at A1 Electric.com for $200, plus another $40 for the switches.
