Subject: R/T Wheel / Tire Question IP: Logged
Message: I am looking for an optimum tire size for an '01 Durango 4x2. I am going to be using the 17x9 rt wheel, but am uncertain of what size tire will fit without any rubbing. Any input is appreciated.
The wheels are coming off my previous 4x4 Dakota, which were fitted with Yokohama AVS 285/60/17's. I am selling the tires with 1000 miles on them if anyone is interested.

Message: What are you looking for? A stock look? Or the biggest tire you can fit? Are you worried about hight or width?

Message: I think the R/T durango uses 275/60/17 tires, if that helps..

Message: I am looking for a size a little bigger than the stock 16's 255/65 size, but not something so big that it overloads the steering and rubs. I want a bit more overall hieght than the 255's give now.
