Subject: few questions IP: Logged
Message: I have a 4.7 dakota 5 speed. I dont know much about cars and I thought that the manual transmission didnt even have transmission fluid. But my manual says it does but i dont know where or how to check it, can anyone help me out on this? And one more thing, does my truck have any grease fittings underneath it? thanks

Message: Sadly, there are no grease fittings under your
truck. This is why you gotta keep a very close
eye and ear on your ball joints. When you hear
poping or cracking, have them checked right away.
Your manual transmission does not have a *dip*
stick like you are use to on a automatic. There
is a fill plug on the side of the tranny. If you
have never checked a manual trannys fluid before,
get someone to show you how. It's easy once you
see it done.
Did you buy it new?

Message: Yes i bought it new. Its a reg. cab 4.7 5 speed. Can you explain to me how to check it cause i cant think of anyone to show me.
