Subject: O2 sensor cause bucking? IP: Logged
Message: So i am thinking of replacing my o2 sensor because i was told it was bad after having a diagnostic check and it has been well over 80k miles. But what i am wondering is, could this be causing my recent problem with the truck bucking when i step on the gas a little heavy?

Message: A bad O2 sensor causes a rich condition. Stomp the gas and you're basically flooding the engine, but it's still trying to run and this could easily be what you're talking about.

Message: When mine failed in my car, it would buck about 2 minutes after a cold start, on light or steady throttle around 35 mph. Very likely that's your trouble.
Mpg in the car dropped from 35 to 21.
