Subject: O2 sensor...where is it?
IP: Logged

Message:
I am not the most mechanically inclined, but i went to autozone for a diagnostic check, and they said the O2 sensor on my #1 cylinder is bad. Where is the #1 cylinder on my 97 V8 5.2, and where is the O2 sensor for it?

Your '97 5.2 will have two O2 sensors, one before the cat(in the manifold) and one after the cat in the pipe. And I assume u meant the code was a misfire on cylinder one....?

i guess that is what they were talking about, when i checked it at autozone the check engine light was out when they hooked it up, plus i didn't pay much attention to the darn thing, i only listened to what he was telling me(well i kinda listened). Any way, the light has been on and off for a while now but just today the truck started bucking when i stepped on the gas at around 40 or 50. The plugs and wires have been replaced from a previous bucking incident but now i have this new problem. Think the o2 is causing the bucking prob?
