Subject: O2 sensor...where is it? IP: Logged
Message: I am not the most mechanically inclined, but i went to autozone for a diagnostic check, and they said the O2 sensor on my #1 cylinder is bad. Where is the #1 cylinder on my 97 V8 5.2, and where is the O2 sensor for it?

Message: Your '97 5.2 will have two O2 sensors, one before the cat(in the manifold) and one after the cat in the pipe. And I assume u meant the code was a misfire on cylinder one....?

Message: i guess that is what they were talking about, when i checked it at autozone the check engine light was out when they hooked it up, plus i didn't pay much attention to the darn thing, i only listened to what he was telling me(well i kinda listened). Any way, the light has been on and off for a while now but just today the truck started bucking when i stepped on the gas at around 40 or 50. The plugs and wires have been replaced from a previous bucking incident but now i have this new problem. Think the o2 is causing the bucking prob?
