Subject: Error code P1784 ????????? IP: Logged
Message: P1784 after fluid/filter change & flush
00 CC 4.7L (45RFE I think) with 98+K miles. Trans has been serviced twice before at 30k & 60K for scheduled maintnence.
I had the fluid & filter changed along with tranny flushed at same time yesterday. When I went to pick the truck up I had a check engine light on.
Their mech was not in to read the codes with a scanner so the parts store up the street ran a scan and came up with P1784 "Manufacturer Control Transmission" as the code. After searching the internet, I came up with it being a code having something to do with First and Reverse but no other real clarification.
Does anyone out there in Dakotaland know what I am up against and/or how it happened....I know it was caused by the service but what part of the service could have caused it?

Message: Possible - connector ( at least the connection of ) to a sensor on the tranny was
removed and not reconnected ?
Or accidentally knocked loose ?
