Subject: Dak overhead console Help IP: Logged
Message: First, I have read ALL the post's, so please don't tell me this is old news and to do some checking. I have a '99 Dakota that I have started to install the upgraded overhead console on & because of all the great info I found here I'm almost there, One problem, all the posts here tell how many wire's to run (6 plus the 3 already there) but no one has said where to tap into the CCD + and CCD - ..... Anyone have a ideal?

Message: Then you've probably ran across my posts on the o/h puter install. I've done it. I only added the o/h puter though, and not the universal remote thingy. Is that what you mean?
I only ran the three wires from the puter down my a pillar, etc.

Message: Thanks for the info Todd, but, my '99 has 9 wires, the 3 wire hook-up would be nice but I don't have a 3 wire computer. I ran 6 wires to the console, 2 wires for the temp sensor, two wires for power and ground and two wires to the + & - CCD bus, their's my problem, where is a SAFE place to tap into the CCD bus??

Message: OK,
On my 01, all the data is carried by one wire, an orange one which is the PCI bus input.
Good luck
