Has anyone else out there had any door seal or roof water leaks in Dak's?
Brand new '04 SXT Quad front passenger door has a pretty severe leak in it about 1/2 way up the top of the door. It's not dripping down yet but I figure it's running down the roof liner past the passenger grab bar and into the floorboard.
How hard is this for a dealer to fix? Less than 800 miles on this truck first ran since it was bought. Hell, it's probably the first ran since it was shipped from the factory to Seattle, WA...

It sounds like you have a new truck. That should mean it is under warranty. That means you should be able to take it back to the dealer and say, "Fix it, dang it!" My guess is someone did not put the rubber door thingy (the technical term for the rubber/foam strip that goes around the top of the door to seal out water) on right. It may be a simple fix at the dealer.

If you want to do it yourself, look at how the two door seals are set up on your right and left doors. My guess is the one on the right (leaky one) is not mounted the same as the one on the left (not leaky one). Make them look the same (symmetrically, of course).

However, if it is under warranty, I say take it back and make them fix it. While you are there, complain about the popping in your steering. Use some of the phrases describing the problem that were used on this site when people talked about their bad ball joints (but don’t mention ‘ball joints’). It can’t hurt. You might get a new set without having the wheel fall off first.

Oh yea, if you do it yourself, make sure you fix the RIGHT one to look like the LEFT one and not the other way around. Unless you want twin waterfalls ;)
