Message: OK I have a 00 cc r/t and I have a 160 degree therm. but I have not installed it I have decided to buy a 180, how hard is it to install and about how long should it take me.

Message: Not a big deal. Just unhook the radiator hose to the intake above the water pump and the thermo is right there. Take out the old, insert the new, and tighten it back down. Then refill your coolant level if needed.

Message: 195's are in for emissions (and gas mileage?) purposes...the engines are designed to run best at 185*F (even Daimler-Chryseler will admit to that) so putting a 180*F thermo in will give you a little more power though some people do have to sacrifice around 2 mpg.
