Subject: Rusting Hood on 2000 IP: Logged
Message: My hood on my 2000 is rusting on the inside edges where the spot welds are and on one side has gotten bad enough that it is bubbling the paint. The truck is only 4 years old, this shouldn't be happening!
The dealer doesn't know if Dodge will fix it because the warranty only covers actual holes from rust. What kind of stupid arse thinking is that?!?!? They need to have the district manager look at it, but I suspect he's going to tell me the same thing and that I'm in for a battle.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Message: naw man... im getting the whole truck painted with a 5 year warranty... for them to sand down the rust and fill any pits (im sure there will be many) its about 700 bucks... i might do that part myself and then have them just paint it for around 1000.... but thats base coat the color and then clear coat.. with a 5 year warranty... thats not bad when you think about it
