'03 QC 4x4 4.7 I've noticed that every time I have the wheels turned all the way to the left and accelerate from a starting position (like pulling out of a parking spot) the front in makes a popping noise. I had a mechanic check the ball joints when I took it in for a nail in the tire and he said that they were just fine. Any ideas? Should I take it to the dealership?

The truck also make a very soft grinding noise when I shift from park into any gear. It's not too loud but is noticeable. Is this a sign of transmission problems down the road?

Thanks for your help!

I have a 02, same truck as yours. I went to 4 wheel it would pop after rolling a bit. I took it to the dealer and they couldnt find anything. My truck has 79,900 miles and still performs very well. I do have a wheel bearing going out. That noise when shifting sounds like a noisy tranny valve. My truck start doing that right after I bought it new. Like I said, still running strong.
