Will be doing a tranny filter an fluid change sometime soon and have heard there are two filters...
I looked on Advance Auto's website and see an external spin-on filter and one that looks internal (different #'s for 2 and 4wd) and says for 15 bolt pan. I need both of these, correct?
This is for an 02 CC 4.7 4wd. My window sticker reads "45RFE Multi-Speed".
One last question: I plan on just dropping the pan and changing the filters, how much fluid should I pick up from the dealer before hand?

Those filters are expenisive(from Chrysler anyway). I beleive that they don't even recommend changing both filters til 50K or so. If u just drop the pan should be about six quarts of ATF+4.

Mine took almost 8 qts., also check out www.bulkpart.com for the filters. Don't forget the O-ring for the pan filter.
