 Subject: Gen2 quest. / trading up from Gen3

my 92 8'bed had 6, my 99 has none, but I am going to look at a 93 CC with a 6.5' box and I want to know if it has stake pockets? Also, is it a stronger box then the 99 (genIII)? The front is especially weak on my 99.
If it looks really good, I might be trading *up* from a Gen3 back to a Gen2 !! :-) I miss my old Gen2. The Gen3 is pretty and handles like a car, but it isn't much of a truck.

408, eh? NICE :-) :-) :-) Is it that much easier to drop the bigger motors into the 2wd or is it just that fewer 4x4 guys are looking for the power and speed? (not that it's easy to put one in the 2wd :-) ) Reminds me, some parts just arrived a few mins ago... I have to pull a motor and drop in a fresher one in my buddy's V65 Magna :-)
I hope to get over to look at that 93 CC today.

oh well, it was a POS :-( I have looked at some many Gen2's that are POS's and I think I am just going to keep the Gen3 and settle. It was a rust bucket that was someone's beater.
I have added an insert to my Gen3 in the bed that has solved my problem with hauling multiple dirtbikes w/o stake pocket tie downs. I am also going to remove my vent visors to help me see better through the two big blind spots I have off the A-pillars. Maybe I can just do a few more things and be happy with it.
