New to being a Dodge owner, but loving every minute of it. 1992 Dakota Sport w/V-6 3.9 engine, automatic transmission and 132K miles. Here's my problem... When I start to take off when the truck is not completely warmed up, my transmission seems to slip in 2nd gear until I either toggle Overdrive off and back on, or come to a complete stop and take off again. After Afew minutes of driving, it acts fine. Are there any additives I could hope to find to fix this, or am I looking at possible tranny failure soon?

I would look into the TV (I think) cable. It is the one that comes off the back of the throttle body and goes down to the tranmission. On gen 2 trucks, there is a button on the side of where it mounts to the throttle body, and you can just press the button, tighten the cable a little (slide it back toward the firewall) and release it. This made quite a difference in my 93.

Next, I would adjust the band on the outside of the transmission. Once you have that in spec, and if you still have the problem, I'd pull the pan, change the fluid and filter, adjust the band on the inside of the tranny, and then try it out.
