Hi i own a 2000 ford lighting all stock. A guy in a dakota wants to race me, i wanna know just how strong your trucks are so i came here to teh experts. Here are his mods: POwerdyne SC 6 boost, 50 shot nitrous, cat back magnaflow, transgo shift kit with racthet shifter, headers, msd ignition, custom y pipe with no cat, and bored TB. Will he beat my ford? How strong are yer trucks? It is a 1997 318.Thanks and sorry for being in your territory!

I figured you guys would say that he would have a good chance but not that he would beat me?!?!? My truck is pretty damn fast even in its stock form without "beefing it up" I think there is a 50 50 chance but wanna know exactly what im stacking up against.

Cool, coming on this site the way you did, nice job.
Duner, who has a home built, Turbo charged 4.7 club cab, knows what he's talking about. He spends alot of times on mods, and at the track.
If his 5.2 (318), runs the way it should with those mods, well, I'd just run him for grins if I were you.

We raced on a stretch maybe a little longer than a 1/4 mile. We stopped at a green light. Light went orange then on red we hammered it. It was a fair race and he beat me by about 2 car lengths. His launch was strong and i could not catch him after he had already got me from the start. It wasnt even the whole way, he was slowly getting farther and farther away from me all the way up until the end. man that truck sounded sweet. Just thought i would let you guys know, trying to be a good sport :}. see ya
