I did not start this thread but since someone started it for me .I will respond.I do think Mobil 1 is number 1 best oil I have ever tried and I have tried most all of them.I did notice better acceleration ,smoother engine idle and better mpg.Also it is available at your local walmart at a great price no shipping charges.Also it is a nascar sponsor.Great oil at a great price.I am thinking of changing my screen name to Mobil 1_ man.

i usually do not respond to these posts but i really like Mobil 1. I just changed the conventional oil out with some Mobil 1 10w30 and got 20 mpg on the highway last weekend. The best i could get before was 18 mpg and I am pretty satisfied considering that's a 5000+ lb durango with a 5.2 V8 that has 68K miles now.
6.6 Lt. Big Block, 727 TF shift kit, 452 heads, edelbrock 750 cfm, .513/.513 284/300 crower cam, comp cams springs, comp cams pushrods, 1.5 roller rockers, dp intake, mopar ignition, mopar windage tray, dual exhaust w/ 40 series flowmasters, 4.10 gears, coilover drag suspension, approx, 3500 lbs

hahahahahaha.... some people have WAY too much time. I too jsut switched to mobil 1. Can';t say i've noticed anything but then again i don't watch my milage that close. Gotta buy premium for the charger so who the hell cares. Gives me peice of mind though.

Hi guys/girls
Just my 02. My 96 Zr1 vette has a nice plastic sign under its hood that shows Mobil 1.
I understand that the Viper comes from the factory with Mobil 1.
If this product is good eunhf for 2 of the fastest sports cars it's good eungh for my 02 Kota.

Well, I've done it. I changed the motor oil, differential and transmission fluid in my Subaru and my Dakota to Amsoil products and I seem to be getting better gas mileage now. Of course the fuzzy dice hanging from the truck mirror probably help. Now I am considering changing the oil in my old air cooled VW Beetle to your 10W-30, but I recently heard that synthetic oil does not carry heat away; a trait that is very necessary for these cars since they do not have oil coolers. Could you comment on this for me without complicated explanations or charts? Thanks.

Sorry GGalarmtec but mobil1 paid big money to be in the viper and vette. It's called cross marketing and i remember reading how mobil1 does what they do as a case study in business class. Mobil1 paid to be factory fill in the viper and vette so that they could advertise, HEY LOOKIE AT US, WE'RE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE VIPER AND VETTE! MOBIL1 IS IN THE VIPER AND VETTE!

have there been any real tests that were a level playing field,same conditions,engine,ect. to see what the better oil is?the guy before me had been using quaker state syn. and i was thinking of changing.i would be interested in some complicated charts and graphs to see how mobil 1,amsoil,and quaker state compare.
