Message: Thats all mine is turning out to be. :o(
I find rims, but no one carries the right bolt pattern....because Daks are odd balls.
Everything seems to cost $200+ more for a Dakota than for any other truck.
I have to take out a friggin' backseat just so I can have some decent sound in it.
My punk a s s v6 won't start acting mean untill I hit 55mph.
Shoulda got the 4Runner. :o/

Message: PYE, what subs did you put in? I got 2 10's that fit in the back perfectly underneath the seat. I have the same problem with not finding stuff for my truck, but I never pay $200 more than any other truck. Most of the time I pay a hell of a lot less than other trucks.

Who said you *HAD* to sit here and read about my complaints? No one *MADE* you click this post and read it. Did they? Didn't think so.
Complaining? Yes I am. I have reason to. I search for 4 strait hours on the net for rims, and none come in 6x4.5. Seems like a logical reason to bitch.
Please, any one of you. Come to South Texas and walk up to me with your ignorant self and tell me somthing...in person, not the net. If you run, I would have a better chance catching you on feet rather than in my Dak(which looks sweet)
To the guy that has an outside life, Germ. I have a Solo Baric 15".

Message: AE589 rims can be purchased with the Dak bolt pattern. I have them on mine.
I have a quadcab so I had to have custom built enclosures made for my subs. There are three 8" solo barics behind my back seats. REALLY tight fit, but it is possible to squeeze them in there.
I'm thinking Nissan Titan next. I've had too many problems with this truck so far. All the reviews of the Titan say it is the bomb...beats every other truck out there in it's class. Plus it looks even better than the Dodge line of trucks.

Message: So why did you buy the Dak? Those don't sound like problems of the truck, they sound like problems of the owner.
Rim's, if you want em spend the bucks and stop cryin to us.
Subs, tell me what truck you can stick a 15 into without losing the back seats.
What type of performance did you expect to get from a V-6 in a 4000 pound truck. If you wanted mean, you should have bought the 4.7 or 5.9.
Question I have, why did you post this type of message if you didn't expect to get flames?????????

Maybe, just maybe because I thought there was some sort of maturity on this board.
This was my Grandpa's truck. I baught it from him for 5k. My Dad is a drag racer so he is hooking the engine up legit, so no worries there.
If my family spoiled me and gave me thousands of dollars, I could easily fit 15s without losing seats. But alas, I actually have to work for what I want.
Kevin and Paul - I'll be sure to check them out. Links would be nice to, THANKS again.

Message: If you want maturity then post a question that seeks to resolve a problem. Such as, "can anyone tell me what aftermarket wheels are available in our bolt pattern?" or "where can I find AFFORDABLE prices for Dakota parts", or "I'm looking for an audio solution that won't take up too much space", or even "can anyone give me suggestions to get better low end performance from my V-6"
These questions are typically answered logically and nicely. Suggesting you should have bought a Toyota will generally bring you equivilant answers, as you've seen.
None of your problems are indicative of a bad vehicle. Hell, if you want to complain about Dakota problems there are more than a few to choose from, but the ones you chose are not unfortunately for you vehicle specific problems.
So apparently it is you that needs a lesson in maturity, if nothing else an education on on-line etiquette.
Hence MY response that I agree with you, you SHOULD have purchased a Toyota. A response I stand by completely.

Message: First they make plenty of rims for the 6x4.5 now, a lot more than they used to. Second I like the power of a v-8 in a mid sized truck, again U should have got the v-8. I've ridden in the new Toyotas and they are not worth the money. Smaller inside, harder seats, harsher ride, slower etc.. I don't care that the mods cost more because when modified I think the Dak looks better than any other truck out there. It also says that the owner is willing to spend the extra money for a sweet ride. I get compliments on both of my trucks every time I take them out.
