Subject: Windshield Wiper Motor IP: Logged
Message: I recently received a letter in the mail from Daimler Chrysler about the windshield wiper motor being faulty, it isn't sealed properly so it may let water in and cause the motor to short out. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a letter and if anyone has reported this problem. Since I have owned my dak (bought Aug. '02) I haven't had a problem with the wipers, and I live in southern florida where we get torential downpours often.

Message: Candace, your post caught my I because my '03 Quad just recently developed a wiper-related problem. High and low speed wiper settings work fine, but in the intermittent setting the wipers stop randomly and start again, jerking along the way. It's the only problem I have had after having the truck for a year. I've not seen that DC letter, but I'm gonna look into it.

Message: Had my truck in last week for a/c drain leak. Windshield wiper recall showed up on computer readout. Dealer replaced it at same time. My truck is '02 Quadcab.
