Message: What are you talking about? They come from the factory with one type of air bag. They do not have optional speeds of airbag deployment. What are refering to if not suplemental restraints?

Message: Exactly what Curtis said. There's no such thing as "best and cheapest". That said, there are many different companies that sell universal kits, there is one company that I know of (may be others) that sells a kit for the 97+ Dakota. That is Air Ride Technologies. (www.ridetech.com) Depending on your skill of mechanical abilities and/or if you will have to have the kit istalled, the price can range anywhere from $1500 (istalled yourself) to around $5,000 (fastbags, side to side, etc.) Whatever you choose do your research and buy quality parts.

Message: what ever you do, do it right the first time and spend the extra money and go to a reputible shop!
you should get at lest 3/8" line or if you want faster go with 1/2 or 5/8". firestone is usually the company to go with. here are some tips:
-go with a 4-link set up (WAY better ride)
-keep the shocks you will have to relocate them but without them you will be floating all over
-get side to side, if you dont the bags share the air and your cornering will suck.
-DONT 'BAGG IT IF YOU CANT DRAG IT!! make it lay the frame on the ground. not 1" or even 1/4" off.
-if going any bigger than a 245/40/17 tire you will need to cut the center of the bed for the pumkin to come through.(or the whole center if you want to do a custom crossmember over the rear axle).
