 Subject: 45RFE bands?

I have 28K on my 01 4.7 auto and am planning to do the fluid change myself. It is my understanding this is the 45RFE tranny. Are there bands to adjust in this transmission. I have searched on this site and some posts say there are band adjustments and others say there are no bands, only electronically controlled clutch packs. Anyone know for sure one way or the other?

Just a fluid and filter change for thr RFE.

100% correct, Atlantic Blue...
Unless mine is a different tranny, I had two
filters to replace. One small screw on and the
*normal* flat style we are use to. Both inside.
Bigred, stick with Chrysler's ATF+4 fluid also
unless you replace 100% of your fluid including
the converter.
I don't think it's a good idea to mix brand names
plus Chrysler is always looking for ways to void
warranties.

Hmm, I don't recall ever seeing a post here claiming there are band adjustments for a 45RFE; only posts wondering if there are. These guys are 100% correct, there are two filters but no bands in 45RFE or 545RFE.

forward. Is there an easy fix or an
