Message: Thank you Sam!
Hotchkis seems to be the best kit available on the market today for our dakotas. Price is a little high too.
However, I learned a very important thing about buying performance parts for our cars/trucks.
Get the best in performance for your aplication and you will be happy with your new product.
Donīt choose one thing just because you can save money. Itīs better wait to save all the money possible to buy the BEST one.
Of course, the most expensive is not always the best part available, but once you go cheap with your parts you wonīt be pleased at all.
Thatīs what happend with me when I bought my powerdyne supercharger. I could have a Vortech T-trim now instead....
BTW, Sam or anyone Do you have the hotchkis kit installed in your dak? Does it improve the traction problem(wheel spin) when these trucks are accelerating from a green light on..??
What about the powertrax systems from Richmond?
Lotīs of wheel spin here....

Message: Yeah, the Hotchkis kit is the most expensive-- and after 81k miles on my truck with it-- It's out lasted everything other lowering kit out there. The sway bars and shocks make it all happen... the handling is worth the price-- honestly.
Hotchkis suspension is made for racing-- who else to have an Open track day at Buttonwillow each year for it's customers? (there's a fee of course)
The wheel spin problem-- hotchkis isn't the best for drag racing-- inherently the truck makes a lot of torque, and you're in an up hill battle. You have comp engineering bars, and they help-- I use Caltracs and they work well...
Drag racing-- slicks are a must... Lockers... the Powertrax unit works--- but an Auburn works better--- Detroit locker works best (but is harshest on the street).
All depends on what level you want, and where you want to draw the line.

Message: Thank you for your help, Sam!
Iīm gonna give you a call until next week.
Can I buy just the front and rear sway bars first?
