i have a 97 club cab 4x4 5.2 V8 with the factory fender flares, i would like to take them off the truck permanently, but there is an adhesive as well as screws holding them on.. anyway i can take the adhesive off without destroying my paint?

yes you can take the adhesive off without destroying the paint. I use 'Sticker Shock' made by 'Kleen Strip', Product Number BS-317. The only concern you may have is that the paint may have faded in the sun exposed area. you can get the new double sided tape to fit from 3M. So if you take it off and notice to much color diference on one, you can put it back on.

I was in an accident a few weeks ago and the ONLY damage done to my truck was the right rear fender flare. I have a 98 cc 5.2L V8 4x4. Was wondering if you have ripped them apart yet? If you haven't, would you be willing to junk them to me? You can email me at davypalmer@earthlink.net.

I'm still not sure what im going to do with them, also my right rear one is very slightly damaged from someone who got to close to me on the highway.. so i purposly bumped them (knocked them off the highway into the ditch)... but im planning on going with an aftermarket smaller flare...

Okay that's cool. I was just hoping to find a much cheaper flare from someone on here so that I could keep the money the other guy's insurance gave me to get it fixed. I just can't get over how expensive those things are. Thanks anyway.
