Subject: Bushings not Available!?!
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey Guys -

Ok.. I have a 1996 Dakota 4x4, 5.2L, Club Cab. My lower contol arm bushings are shot... bad. Dodge does not make the bushing anymore, nor the control arms. I have tried everyone out there online with no luck.

Has anyone had any experience with this? and or what was their outcome. Also does anyone know where I can get custom bushings made - I love my truck but this is turning out to be one major problem.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

thank - 318MarkIII

Have you tried to locate urethane bushings from a 4x4 store? There are several MFG's that make urethane busings, I would imagine one of the MFG's would have bushings for your application.

Happy hunting :-)

I've tried almost every company on the net that makes poly bushings. They have them for the 2wd by not the 4wd. I would even buy the whole new control arms if I could find them, but Dodge stopped making those as well.

Sorry!!! You cant find a replacement because there isn't one for the 4x4!!! Lifted -- No Service -- Not Servicable. Get a new lower control arm. Only option. Upper Control arm bushings are more critical. Napa has lower control arms
