I have a 01 Dakota Quad Cab Sport 4x4 with the towing package 355 rear.I am going to pull a 2000lb car trailer and a 4200lb car. Will this be okay? 1000 miles.

It will be fine. You're right at the upper limit, but don't worry about it. Just follow the standard towing rules/precautions and there won't be a problem.

I've got the same truck. Assuming you've the 4.7L.
My manual says 4800lb max. tow capacity.
I think you're over at 6200lb.
That's more in line with what the regular cab Dakota can tow.
Check your manual to be sure.
