Subject: Check Gauges?
IP: Logged

Message:
Last night, shortly after i started my truck, i heard a ding, the same sound as the low fuel ding, and the red CHECK GAUGES light came on. it was on for a total of about 5 sec and then went off. When i arrived at my destination, about 8 miles away, i pulled into a parking spot, put it in park, but left the engine runnin bec i was waitin for someone. while i was sittin there, the same ding sounded and the CHECK GAUGES light came back on, again for about 5 secs.

Now then, im kinda curious as to what that indication light means bec this is the first time that it has ever come on and each time that it came on, i checked out my gauges and they seemed fine, but i dunno. So, if anyone has any info that could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

This just happened to me a week ago. Check your oil preasure gauge to see if it is too high or low. If it is, then there is a good chance it could be your oil preasure sensor, that will run you about $85. I have heard from others if it is not the sensor then there is a possibility of having to rebuild the engine.
