Message: Hey!
I have a 2001 Dak Sport 4x4 CC with flares. It's
my first truck with flares. Is it normal for the
rear flares and front bed corners to get
road-blasted to the point that they need
re-painting after 5-6 months? I do no
off-roading, and I have the hi-dollar molded
mud-flaps.
thanks,
Wade

Message: Mine is Intense Blue. I bought the truck in Jan
2000. After 6000 miles the flares were bad
enough to need painting. So, In late May I took
it to the dealer to ask about it. They told me it
was normal and that I should have put mud
flaps on it right away. So, I had the flares
re-painted and put mud flaps on it. Now, its
one year later and it's happened all over
again, only worse this time. I think there
should be a way to stop this and I think they
should be liable. It's also happening to my
boss' black 2001 4x4 QC SLT
