Subject: Help!!! Installing a alarm? IP: Logged
Message: Purchased an alarm(evsII) from Dodge and installed it according to the instruction
booklet. The only problem is when I push
the unlock button the alarm trips instead
of disarming. I have gone over and over
every wire and it is exactly the way it
is in the instuction booklet. I've called
1-800-26-mopar and they told me if I didn't
have a dealer code they wouldn't talk to me.
They had no problem taking my money but they
wouldn't help me? THE CAN TAKE MY 2001 DODGE
DAKOTA AND SHOVE IT UP THERE ASS!!!! Anyway
can anyone help me in fixing my alarm system.

Message: Tim,
I've seen several alarm systems that tie into the factory keyless entry system, and most of them seem to work on the idea that unlocking the drivers door only via the remote is how you disarm. These systems process all doors unlocking at the same time as if someone had used the interior door lock switch. Because of that, it is considered a break-in. Double check to make sure that you have the keyless system setup so a single press unlocks only the drivers door, and it takes 2 presses to unlock all doors.

Message: Does anyone know how to disarm the EVSII system without the remote. I only had one remote for my truck and it was destroyed. Can't really get any help from the dealers. I have tried everything short of trying to remove the system just to get my truck started. The dealership told me about a reset button (chrome around the emergency brake) but I cant find it. Help please!!!!

I wish I had instructions for mine, it's just sitting in the box, they won't take it back and can't get them for me.
I was under the impression the Stealer had to program something in the trucks computer for them to work.

Message: Does your EVSII system have a little flashing light? ( LED )
It should be there if the alarm system was competly installed.
If so try pushing in on the light while turning the ignition key.
This should disarm the system.
