Subject: Bad INNER Tie Rod? IP: Logged
Message: Took truck in to Dodge dealer to get it aligned. They tell me the INNER tie rod is bad, so truck can't be aligned, which I believe. But the INNER (the OUTERs can be replaced separately) tie rods require replacement of the entire PS rack! $850 w/labor.
Any feedback out there?
Thanks

Message: Yup, think I paid $160 for 2 inner tie rods and 2 outer tie rods from rockauto.com. 2000 4.7 CC 2wd with the P/S rack and pinion, I am assuming they are the same even though yours is a 4x4.
