Subject: 440 swap in dakota questions IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1995 dakota extended cab sport with an automatic overdrive trans and a 318, the 318 is blown and pulled. I have a 1978 440 with a 727 complete with all brackets and driveshaft. I would like to use the overdrive trans but need to know what needs to be done for the whole swap. Any info would be great. Also looks like i have a prob with the brake booster being to large, wonder if i can use 1 from a dodge van. Also any info on what headders i can use please.

Message: www.engine-swaps.com has all the stuff to mount it in there with just nuts and bolts (no welding or cutting). To use your overdrive tranny, you will need an adapter for the 518
