 Subject: dispose of old gas

Hello all,
My father hasn't run his DAK in 3 years and I am worried about the gas being gummed up. I drained the tank and now have 15 gals. of gas to dispose of.
My local govt. hazardous waste program only takes oil and paint.
Any ideas for a semi earth friendly and safe way to dispose of this old gas?
I am trying to burn it in my lawn mower mixed 50\50 with new gas. But it will take me 6 years to burn 15 gals.

Got any friends or neighbors that wouldn't mind running it through their mowers, log splitters, chippers, leaf blowers, etc.?

I've heard those smaller motors can be fussier about old fuel than a vehicle. Know anyone burning brush ? If so, try mixing it with used motor oil to burn off without flashing so intensely.

Find a gas station and dump it in one of their tanks when they are closed.

maybe you could work it in with the fresh gas... 1 gallon to every 5 should be OK, as long as theres no floting dirt/gunk in it! just pour some sta-bil, and some moisture remover in the old gas for good measure..... the dak shouldnt notice it at all, although you may want to run octane booster in it (or mix it with premium fuel)
