I was over at the Dodge dealer last night. Just for fun, I looked at the Magnum. I've seen pics of it, and I was not impressed. It's a wagon, after all.
However, in person it's a pretty slick vehicle. It has the appearance of a chopped street rod. Some tinted windows, nice wheels, a flame job, and it's one slick car. Can tow 3,800#, so that's not too bad, either.
I might consider trading in my QC. Maybe. Tough to get rid of a truck, though

And not only is it stylish, but it's the most powerful in it's class. That's the car I want to take the kids to the soccer game in!

Go est drive the Chysler 300C. It's 10 times better than the Magnum. Classy, powerful and stylish. Reminds me of a Bently or a Rolls.

I looked at the Magnum and it looks like a hearse to me. Or one of those big fat wagons from the 1970s. I'd rather have my beat up 93 Dakota than a Magnum.

The big BMW-type cover over the engine serves as a HEMI billboard when you open the hood. Like throwing a poncho on Marilyn Monroe...

Both the 300 and the MAGNUM have a lot of streetrod potential.
I just hope that DC learned their lesson on the Dakota/Durango
and put a decent front end under them.

Bob Lutz was forced to retire from Chrysler in the 90's, not long before Daimler moved in. He has been with GM for 3-4 years now, which explains why they are introducing so many new styles, and their retro-pickup. Come to think of it, maybe he did say that, since he's hoping it'll suppress sales.
