 Subject: Tilt Tonneau Covers

I would like some feedback from anyone who has a tilting style tonneau cover.....just the fabric cover, not the painted top. I am looking for a quick and relatively inexpensive way of putting things out of sight from other people. Do these things actually install easily and operate as they are supposed to ? I would appreciate you comments. The ones I have investigated are made by Lund & Extang. If ya know of, or have others, please let me know. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I am in Canada. I can obtain from the USA but I need to know what prices are like. Thanks fellas.....and ladies !

You realize how easy it is to break into your bed with a fabric cover? All I need is a pocket knife and I've got whatever you had. I have a fiberglass locking cover and I still have the occasional jerk who tries to force it open and doesn't succeed.

I have an Extang Full Tilt and love it. Its easy to get in and out of and it keeps everything dry. Its also good for a mild mpg improvement. I carry two big dogs under mine most of the time too (cracked open with tie downs). Its easy to take off for big loads or even snap back if you like. No you can't lock it, but I don't live in L.A. or New York.

Full tilt love it,lotsa load options,as for theft i feel that a thief will get into the bed whatever you got covering it like you said just to keep my airplanes out of sight when i stop for coffee and a bagel on way to the flying field

I agree with sixpack. A thief will get in no matter what you have. I just use it to keep the rain off my heli's. Sluggo I know someone that has a nice cover for sale. I take it that you have a Dakota, right? Scott

Sorry it took me so long to get back to ya. This cover is a soft cover, and its for a Quadcab. The quad box is shorter than yours. Scott
