"Why did you take a picture of your speedometer anyway....."

If Old Fool's posting style is any indication then he obviously doesn't have any friends (and certainly no women), so it's good that he's got a hobby.

Well I took a picture of my speedo 'cause I felt like it, same reason I take pictures of my truck, my wife, my kids and my freinds. And just for sentimental value more than anything. And most of my freinds think it is pretty kool to have it in documentation. (sorry Mr. Carnegie, wrong again.)

And back on subject, since I've had my Dakota I haven't had any problems with the ball joints at all. They have held up well on these Colorado Roads since I have been back in the USA. Very suprising considering all the pot holes and bad roads back here. I will be moving back to Texas in August and as long as I stay out of the BAD Neighborhoods and off the secondary farm roads I can see them lasting till the truck has 100,000 miles.

As for the brakes they have some terrible squeeking since the change out at 42,000 miles. Not completely unbearable, but noticeable.

Old Fool, you're busted. That first photo, maybe, but the second one I don't believe - the focus is too sharp. At 200mph a Dakota would be shaking like your scared wife.

Chris, the difference in 'going that fast' and going say 75 mph the speed in the state I live in is nothing. It is all relative. When the traffic is flowing faster than 120 mph and you are in the slow lane you have plenty of time to take pictures of the speedo. For people that live in a place where they set their cruise at 130+ then 75 is secondary road speed and not very productive. For people that live in the USA that is not used to those speeds, they crap their pants when they exceed 99 mph. While in Germany the last time I remember reading in the paper where the Polizi issued a ticket to a man for 'Reading the Newspaper' while driving 150 mph on the AutoBahn.

i would not get that fast living where i do. see, in Virginia, there is nowhere you can get that fast for very long, also, the cops here are real you know whats when it comes to giving speeding tickets, 5 over and you getting a ticket. Also, i don't think my truck could handle going that fast.
