Message: Wow!!! What a difference! The 2000 Dak 2wd CCab feels like a completely different truck. The first thing my uncle (who owns a shop and does a lot of suspension and chasis work) asked was where I got the shocks. He wasn't familiar with them but was very impressed with their construction and the drive after. Three big differences: a significant improvement in braking, these shocks have cut the nose diving during hard breaking in half. Body roll around sharp curves is noticibly improved, and tire hop while going over rough roads is also improved. I got the rear shocks on clearance and total for all four I spent with shipping $170. I compared these shocks prices, even at normal retail, and found them very competitive with Rancho and $10-$20 less per shock, than Edelbrock IAS. I certainly found them well worth the money. Give them a try

Message: I've got the Monomax's as well on the same truck as you and have nothing but good things to say about them. They did make a dramatic difference over stock. They really help keep the truck glued to the road. They did stiffen up the ride alot at first which annoyed me a little just because I wasn't used to it. But once I got used to it and they broke in a little I was more that satisfied. They made my Dak feel like a sports car.
