Subject: Relay switch for 1990 Dodge Dakota....
IP: Logged

Message:
I've been having a lot of problems with my headlights lately - they only come on when they want to. Sometimes flipping from dim to bright back and forth about a hundred times makes them come on sometimes not. Holding the dimmer switch in will keep the lights on and this is how I have to drive at night - holding the switch back. My friend has replaced the dimmer switch and the light switch itself, and now he is asking me if my truck has a relay switch in it. I don't have an owner's manual so I have no clue. I'm hoping someone here might be able to tell me if there is one and where it would be please. It's a 1990 Dodge Dakota Club Cab, it doesn't have power windows or locks, automatic...if anyone can give me a holler or needs to know more just let me know. I'd appreciate the help lots.
Thanks so much!!
LaDonna

ok,here we go,no relay

theres two power wires to the light switch[hot at all times]red and a pink

blk/yel to park lights

lt green/blk and a lt green go to the dimmer switch from light switch

red/org and violet from dimmer switch to head lights

red/org also goes to hi beam indicator

these same colors also go to the day time running lights module if you have them
