Message: Has anyone else had this happen?
In my R/T, I jumped HARD on the brakes, harder than I've ever braked in anything in my life, to avoid some dumba$$ kid in a Jeep who came into my lane. I was really impressed with the way the NT450s hauled the truck down.
There was a loud POP from the right front. I thought I had hit the curb and broken a wheel for sure. The truck started pulling hard right and scrubbing the tires. Turns out I didn't hit the curb. The bar that goes through the uppen suspension bushings has two bolts holding it to the truck, and it moved on the truck, all the way to the extreme of its adjustment.
The guy at the alignment shop said that I'm lucky. He says most Dakotas that go through that kind of stress end up twisting the suspension arm and ruining it.
