10 bucks says GM will be out of business in 10 years with ideas like this. Yuppies flying around in 5000 pound pickups shaped like a turd with the looks of horses a$$.

I doubt it. GM sells every H2 it makes right now. They also are doing pretty good on the Avalanche and Escalade. If they make this, I bet it will sell just as well.

Gm's oversized crap is the reason we're in a gas crisis right now, without those oversized pieces of sh#t flying around we'd all have plenty of gas at cheaper prices.. screw those yuppies that "need" a huge assed vehicle to protect their lonely wives. I've never seen a H2 or any other hummer with more than 2 people in it....
Hell, even that new "truck" if you'd call it that, the chevy SSR isn't any faster than a R/T, at almost twice the price.... Ive roasted three of em in my R/T, laughing at em the whole way....
unfortunately, GM is backed by banks...and will only collapse when the Government is ready for them to....They emply too many people to be allowed to collapse...

We always envy what we can't have and will never be able to afford.

Not everybody has to scrape together every loose penny they have to buy a Dakota, a lemon truck that somebody else is dumping.

Some of you may understand what I am saying one day but alas, most of you will not.

All I know is that the Hummer brand came in dead last place for quality against all manufacturers. It was in the newspaper a few weeks ago if anyone is interested in reading the article. What I can't understand is how people can fork over the bucks for a vehicle that has the same quality and acceleration as a Daewoo?

ANd I'd like to add one more comment and I'll stay in my conformist "free society" line(hehehe) , that running over curbs is not considered off roading, so why in the F do they have knobbys on those H2's?!?!

LMAO.. hooray for dd.com nonconformists! Pretty soon the highways will open up for the Daks 'cause the guzzlers will have cobwebs in their wheelwells. Yesterday, I passed by a dealer's satellite (detatched) used vehicle lot that just opened 2 weeks ago. It absolutely was an orphanage for Chevy and Ford 4x4's, crew cabs and full-size pickups.

"GM sells every H2 it makes right now. They also are doing pretty good on the Avalanche and Escalade."

Techically every automaker sells every car it makes. The problem is that they have to offer $4000 rebates to get them to move. Problem is GM tech center is getting worried that the EPA is going to make them state mileage on those piggies. IF they are forced to do that then they wont be able to produce the H3 because their fleet economy requirements will not be met. GM has completely abandoned their hybrid alternative fuel concepts for 10 years, while the other automotives are making progress. GM will undoubtly shift to 2nd or 3rd on the top auto produces list. Judging by their new initiative to push low quality, over stickered product over traditional GM quality I expect their downfall quickly.

Example, GM has decided that on all of their pickups, the tailgate latches that used to be steel are now replaced with plastic latches (this includes Cadillac and hummer H3, Denali). The QC at tech center stated that the latches have been made out of plastic to save on material costs, despite the fact that the plastic latches fail 28 times more than the metal ones. QC commented that consumers are buying trucks for looks rather than function and it was unecessary for them to maintain the quality standard that is usually expected out of a truck latch.

With that sort of thinking how long before GM is regarded as over priced yuppy junk? That image is already making its way into the marketplace.

Half the @ssholes that posted arn't making any damn sence so shut up. GM or the other two shouldn't be blamed for the very unusual gas prices. If this be the case then lest also blame Fightliner, Kenworth and Volvo for building trucks that gets about 5 MPG. And what about all the school buses and coaches that gives there public there daily transportation.

I happen to agree with Mr.Sleepy that the H3 Hummer won't even be on the scale as the H2 has been. O' yes I've been in small town with a population of just under 5,000 and still spoted a Hummer or two in some ones drive way.

I think it would make way more sence to for GM to market a Duramax powered H2 just like the H1 ( for now you have to settle with the disgrace full 6.5L). I mean if you could get a H2 or a Avalance with a Duramax diesal that puts over 310 HP and almost 600 FT-LBS of toruqe; wouldn't you buy it if you had the money?

Yeah, Mr Sleepy is right, and I'd like to add that they sold every 2000 camaro and firebird too... after they sold off almost all of their 2001's....thats why they stopped making em...they couldn't give em away....

oh, and Joe c. why if the hell are you pissin and moaning? FIRST, learn english, your writing is a catastrophe, its as well versed as someone who would be expected to drive a GM..... second, why would I buy a heavy assed GM with ONLY 310 hp when I have a 4000lb Dakota with 325HP and growing? the only purpose for 600 ft lb's of torque would be for towing a huge trailer... how many H2's or avalanche's you seen towing any type of trailer? AND its SPELLED SENSE!!! not sence... that has to do with aroma...such as INSENCE>>>>>DUMBASS.

Wow, calling GM trucks gas guzzlers when my kota gets 14mpg. Since when did 14-15 mpg become good? Not taking sides, but c'mon, think before you post. And matt, you said they stopped making Trans AM and Firebirds because they couldnt' even give them away?? That right there tells me you know little about cars. You just seem to be a good trash talker to anyone who disagrees with you.
