Hey guys, been reading for a while, first post.

I've been looking around for a new vehicle (93 Jimmy is getting there...) and have settled on a Dak and have found a couple I like.

Two 03 Sport Plus Club's is what I've found. One with 3.9 and 4sp Auto and the other with a 4.7 and 5sp stick.

Are there any issues that should be looked at? I'm expecting the ball joint deal but anything else? Is the 4sp auto a decent tranny, or should I lean more to a 5sp stick? I'm looking for something to get a long life out of.

They both have under 20K mi on them, the 3.9 is at $16500 right now and the 4.7 is at $19500.

if you get one, get the 4.7L!! it gets around the same mileage as the 3.9 and is much more powerful!!! also its much smoother, and the 45rfe (auto trans) dosent mess around!! the 42re i had on my 3.9 acted funny sometimes (gear hunting, an intermittant over-rev, and harsh reverse engagement) but otherwise it was fine.

the 3.9 is a reliable powerplant, though it is showing its age (the LA engines in general....) the 4.7 has yet to prove itself, but i'm pretty confident that it will last.... but in a CC, i would def. get the v8 :-)

thats just my .02
