Subject: ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM ON THERE DAKOTA IP: Logged
Message: I HAVE A 2000 DAKOTA. THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT COME ON TOGETHER AFTER I DRIVE FOR AWHILE. BUT THEY DONT COME ON ALL THE TIME. SOME TIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND WHEN THAT DOES THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT WONT COME ON. IF I ERASE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THE ABS AND BRAKE WILL THEN COME ON. SO I THINK THERE IS SOME THING WRONG THAT IS TIED INTO THE ABS LIGHT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER LIGHT TOGETHER. ANY IDEAS OR TIPS??? (JUST FOR REFERENCE SPEED SENSOR ON REAREND WAS REPLACED AND THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ALSO)

Message: You may have a problem with the abs manifold, alos check your brake fluid to see if it is brown and old you may need to replace it. Have you check to see what error codes you get that might help you pinpoint it.
(Custom cold air intake, IAT sensor mod, Cat back dynomax exhaust, 180d t/s)

Message: i,m not sure on the 2000s abs,but on a truck with the rear anti-locks you can decode the brakes for the problem
this may be the reason the check engine comes on
