Message: I have never used CLR for anything, but it says it removes calcium, lime, and rust...
Well, I just so happen to have quite the blocked radiator with calcium, lime, and probably some rust too.
Does any think it's a good idea to try draining the system and filling it with CLR and water and letting it run for a while?
Has anyone tried this or have a better idea?
I would rather NOT replace such an expensive part on my truck if I didn't have to, but I think I'm getting sent back out to the Mojave at the end of the year, and if my truck get's hot in 80 deg NC weather now, wonder what it's going to do in 120 deg later.
Thanks

Message: Try using a product more designed to for automotive systems. Remember, it has to be friendly to alum, plastic, gaskets, seals, sensors, etc.
If you really want to use CLR, I'd remove the radiator and soak it in a big tank.
