 Subject: A/C comp.--- Act of GOD to find???

The A/C compressor on my 2000 CC 4.7L locked up back before X-mas and the few local A/C repair places cannot find any aftermarket or refurbed units. The dealership wants $250-$300 more than the aftermarket/refurb guys want. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know of any southeast distributors I could recommend my local A/C repair place call to get one?
My unit has the following info on it:

Sure hope someone out there in Dakota land can help.

This may sound off-beat, but my VW had that model of A/C that quit working. Give the VW dealer a call and see where they get them repaired.

try calling Airpro Inc in mesquite texas 9722888888. I used to be the warranty manager there and every now and again we'd have proprietory only compressors. Give them a call.

There is a junk yard here in Alabama (Birmingham) that specializes in Dodge/Chrysler used parts. They seem to have almost everything. You might give them a call. They are called "Palmer Brothers Auto Parts" and their number is 800-365-8305. It might be worth a shot.
