Message: You may want to try tracing all of the vacuum lines from the controler to the accuators and from the engine to the controler. Put a vacuum gauge on it to determine if/not the belly pan gasket is leaking, or look down into the manifold, see oil?=leak.

Message: I have the same problem with mine. I get a little out of the vents but most blows out the defroster. I had a little piece, we'll call it a gear for lack of a better name for it. THis gear fell out of my dash on the drivers side. when you lay on the floorboard and look up, towards the center of the dash you can see where it goes. I can't get my hands in there to get it back in.
You could look there. Lay down on the floor and turn the vent knob to see the "gears" move. I hope you have smaller hands and better luck with it than I did. I haven't been that concerned with it yet, haven't tried all that hard to fix it yet either. That darn foggy spot in the middle of my windshield is starting to bother me now though.
