I am going to replace my ball joints on my '01 this weekend. Was wondering if there is anything else that should be replaced since I am going to have my front broken down?

Check your control arm bushings. May not have time enough to get them before the weekend though.

Just replaced ball joints in 98 4x4, upper and lower. The control arm bushings were ok but am having a tough time finding an idler arm (needs replacing).
119000 miles. the dealer wants $188. ouch

Check the inner and outer tie rods for play while your at it. There are inner tie rods, you can't see the joint since it's in the boot attached to the rack. I replaced my ball joints only to find out that a couple of tie rods had play. I bought a set of inner and outer tie rods form rockauto.com, they were around $40+ each + shipping.

gutter, try rockauto.com for the idler arm, they seem to have a good selection of stock suspension parts.
