I just got off the phone with Bruce at Flometrics and the Billet V6 Throttle Bodies will be ready within the next two weeks (two weeks at the latest).
It also turns out that the '98 V6's have a 42mm TB which really restricts the power output at higher RPM's (3000+) so the 48mm will be a big HP improvement right off the bat.
I need a minimum of 10 people on this buy (including myself) to get the price a little bit lower than $400. (There's only 20 of these in the world right now as well.)

Four bolts for the throttle body, three sensor clips, and the linkage. You just swap out your existing sensors to the new TB and reinstall it. (Reset the computer and drive for about 50 miles to allow for a re-learn curve.)
Results should be noticeable almost instantly.

Still a little steep for me. I was planning on getting a QuickD TB some time next week. What is the time frame for this and let me know what the price gets down to.
Also Bernd: what are the advantages over this TB compared the the QuickD

Tony has a good throttle body as well. If you can't afford the Billet version, by all means...get the QuickD TB.
As for the advantages:
(1) Redesigned IAC Port - Less noise with open element air filters (hissing noise)
(2) Throttle Body designed on flow bench (with Fluid Dynamics Testing from top to bottom)
(3) Sealed Throttle Shaft Bushings - No Leaks even under boost (unlike the stock throttle body castings)
(4) Redesigned MAP Port - Better response
(5) Bolt Holes are all countersunk to hide any possible obstructions in the air flow.
(6) All air hat location pedestals are precision located.
(7) Billet material is much less prone to warping under heat/cold than cast aluminum.

I didn't notice any gains in MPG...but then again..I didn't notice any losses either.
If all goes well, I may have a 48mm TB for testing this weekend...if not...it'll be by next Wednesday.

Yes Marshall. Bruce is actually running a proto-type on a '98 V6 right now. Turns out, the '98 V6's have a 42mm TB. That's smaller than the stock '97 and '99 TB's!! The 48mm really woke up the test truck.

The Throttle Body is a complete "Bolt-On". All that you need to do is swap the sensors from your existing TB to the new one and move the linkage bracket over from the old TB to the new TB.
I'm not sure what linkage you're referring to since the factory ones don't come with any linkage either. (With the exception of the bracket that bolts to the factory TB...that holds all the cables.) On the end of the factory TB's throttle shaft, there's a pressed and welded on plate where you attach the both the kickdown & throttle cables. If this is what you're referring to...yes, that's a brand new piece on the Billet TB's.
The factory airhat nut works just fine... but if you want a Billet Airhat nut, you can order one as well.

What i was referring to was what their website said:

Maybe this is a linkage for the 4.7 TB? It also appears that we should also get the airhat nut.

The information on the site refers to the 50mm Billet Throttle Body which is in a large production quantity. The 48mm V6 TB, however, only exists in a quantity of 20 right now. (It's a custom piece just for the V6's.)

Patience Geoff....they have been shipped. As I stated on the DML as well, this doesn't need to turn into a "I didn't get my stuff from QuickD" thread...it's not worth it.
With the exception of the '94 models. Since the throttle linkage uses a progressive cable connection, instead of a ballstud, Bruce had to fabricate the linkage from scratch. Those should also be ready on Monday or Tuesday.
