 Subject: Sticky Tranny

I own an 89`Dak. Standard tranny on a 3.9. Now the tranny is really hard to put into gear. You really have to push on it to get it to go into gear and it sometimes clunks when I do get it to go. Can you guys give me some ideas of what I can do to free this up?

Its a good chance that your throwout bearing in your clutch might be going bad. Same thing happened to me with my old truck. The bearing went out and was hitting the pressure plate off center, so pushing down the pedal just messed up the plate, it didn't pull the clutch plate off the flywheel. New clutch kits are about $100 and it'll take 2 guys maybe 5-8 hours to fix it. (Depending on how much beer you drink while doing it)
