I just opened my door and my factory alarm went off on my new 99 R/T. I started the engine and hoped it would shut the alarm off, but the engine started for a second and died. So I popped the hood and diconnected the battery. I am out of town and don't have my original keyless entry remote, because I have an after market alarm. How do I disable the alarm without the remote? Is my engine now disabled? And if so, how do I get it to start?
I think the alarm was armed when I locked the doors manually. How can I disable the factory alarm, since I now have an after market alarm?
