Subject: Headlight..... IP: Logged
Message: I took the Dakota to the dealer to have some work done, and they were going to adjust my passenger headlight. They call to tell me that the adjuster screw is stripped. Don't know how, bought the truck new and never touched it myself. Anyway, apparently you have to buy the entire headlight assembly and can't just get the adjuster screw. The assembly is around $120 and I'm not paying that to get a lousy screw. I've tried junkyards around here with no luck. I know it's a T-2 Torx head but not sure on length or thread. Anyone know where I can get one or any info I could use to buy a new one? Thanks!

Message: a T-2 torx is used on screws about the size of a sewing needle. you mean t-20, right? I would go back to that dealer and pitch the holey bitch as they are the ones that stripped it and now want you to pay for their F-up. most likely it is not the screw that is stripped but the plastic that the screw screws into. so yeah that is why they want you to pay they don't want to.
