Subject: I need some help IP: Logged
Message: I installed costom headers on my truck. I started getting this popping noise. when i took it to the dealer they told me that the header was rubbing the controll arm and the brake buster. does any one have any ideas on how to fix this problem.

Message: Yeah they gave the the right ones. Thier flowtech headers. I got some more info on the problem when i picked it up. The said the header was hitting the braker buster box. That's the round cylinder on the drivers side. When the moves a little the header hits it. I was thinging about puting the thermo wrap tap on the header and mabye it would cushion the hit. Any ideas? My truck is a 1999 5.2L.

Message: 5.2L maybe you should try asking Bernd at SPEEDTWEEKS.com he would have the answer for you.Maybe they gave you Ford headers.
